Shawn Pulver is the founder and principal of Pulver on Condos.
Shawn is a fearless advocate, and a leading practitioner in the areas of condominium law, condominium litigation and real estate litigation.
Shawn advises condominium boards and owners on condominium governance and enforcement issues relating to the Ontario Condominium Act. Shawn has significant experience advising clients on disputes relating to shared facilities agreements, condominium deficiencies, and noise disturbances.
Shawn has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (including Estates Court and Commercial List), Ontario Court of Appeal, Tax Court of Canada, Federal Court of Appeal and the License Appeal Tribunal. He has acted as counsel in several complex trials before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Tax Court of Canada. Shawn has also been counsel in several precedent setting cases, including York Region Vacant land Condominium Corp. No. 968 v. Schickedanz Bros. Ltd.(2006), Irwin Mintz, In trust v. Mademont Yonge Inc. (2010) and Toronto Standard Condominium Corporation No. 1487 v. Market Lofts Inc. (2015).
Shawn is a frequent speaker and writer on various real estate and condominium related issues. Shawn is also one of the seven founding directors of CAI Canada, a leading organization which provides education, licensing and credentialing opportunities to condominium and strata managers across Canada. Shawn is currently the President-Elect of CAI Canada.

Jackie Bartlett is a senior associate at Pulver on Condos. She is an experienced litigator who has worked on several precedent setting condominium cases. Jackie is respected by her clients and counsel for her intellect, knowledge & tenacity.
Paola obtained her Juris Doctor in the Fall of 2015. She completed her Practical Legal Training (PLTs) – equivalent to articles – at a prominent firm in Brisbane, Australia and in the Spring of 2017, Paola was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland as a Solicitor.
Before joining Pulver on Condos, Paola articled at a traditional real estate firm in Mississauga.
Paola fell in love with Condominium Law after purchasing her first property in North York through an assignment sale. This led to Paola serving on the Board of Directors – little did she know that this would be impetus to her legal career. The first-hand experience taught her quite a lot about the industry and what directors – and owners alike – want from their lawyers.
Elaine is an associate at Pulver on Condos, assisting condominium boards and management in all aspects of business law matters.
Elaine received her J.D. from the University of Windsor in 2018. Prior to law school, Elaine graduated from the Schulich School of Business at York University in 2013 with an International Bachelor of Business Administration degree. In her third year at York University, Elaine spent a semester abroad studying company and business law at the University of Hong Kong.
Prior to joining Pulver on Condos, Elaine completed her articles and practiced business law as a corporate associate at a mid-sized full-service firm in Toronto.
In her down-time, Elaine enjoys spending time with her husband, dog and cat, reading, and too much coffee.
Sat Brar joined Pulver on Condos as an associate lawyer in 2021, with a focus on condominium law. He earned his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) with Honours, from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom. Sat was called to the Ontario Bar in 2014.
Prior to joining Pulver on Condos, Sat practised as a sole practitioner and later as an associate at a full service law firm in midtown Toronto, with a focus on criminal and quasi-criminal matters. Sat has appeared before several branches of the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice.
Sat assists his clients by providing timely, accurate and cost-effective legal advice. He takes pride in his work and goes above and beyond to obtain favourable results for his clients.
When he is not in the office, you will find Sat playing hockey or perfecting his golf swing. Sat also enjoys spending time with his family and travelling.
